Council Wants Used Cooking Oil Distribution to Be Controlled

City Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Tenacity Dept. (KPKP) asked to control used cooking oil distribution in markets. Used cooking oil quality is considered not healthy to be consumed.

It will cause cancer for frequently consumption

City Council Commission B Member, Syarifuddin, said recently used cooking oil distribution is spreading in the markets.

"This is dangerous. Need to be monitored," he said at City Council Commission B's meeting room, Monday (3/13).

He added in the field, mix used cooking oil is frequently found. It is worried that used oil will cause illness.

In the same place, City Economic Bureau Head, Sri Haryati, explained that used cooking oil usage ban in the City is already arranged in City Governor Regulation (Pergub) No. 167/2017 about used cooking oil management.

"It will cause cancer for frequently consumption," she closed.
